There are a number of student publications that may accept articles from current and former FOCUS students. These include:

The Duke Journal of Public Affairs

The Duke Journal of Public Affairs is a publication with academic intent, and currently features several articles in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, and Law & Ethics. The submission deadline is March 1st of each year, and articles may be submitted by email to dukejournal@duke.edu.

Duke Mind

The Duke Mind is a recently revived undergraduate journal that publishes student work and research related to a wide range of topics in the brain and behavioral sciences. The journal's goal is to address fundamental scientific and philosophical issues of the mind from a number of different disciplines and perspectives. The Duke Mind is currently seeking submissions in original brain/behavior research, neuroethics and philosophy of mind, interdisciplinary topics in neuroscience, and opinions on current scientific issues. Journal of Prospective Health

The Journal of Prospective Health is looking for original research or academic papers by undergraduates for publication! The Duke University Prospective Health Care Club (PHCC) is a student organization focused on promoting a Prospective Health Care system, a mode of medicine that emphasizes personalized care and disease prevention methods. PHCC’s goal is to inform the Duke University community as well as the public about the principles and benefits of Prospective Health Care through symposiums, publications, curricular methods, and community service projects. The PHCC released the first issue of it’s biannual publication, Journal of Prospective Health Care. The journal is currently welcoming submissions for upcoming issues. Submissions can come from many disciplines, including but not limited to: genomics, public policy, nanotechnology, cultural anthropology, pharmacology, information technology, psychology, basic sciences, applied sciences, economics, diagnostics, and ethics.
